Shawn Riser Taylor, PharmD, CPP, CDCES
I’m Dr. Shawn Taylor, a pharmacist with nearly two decades of combined experience in primary care and health professions education. My work bridges clinical expertise and instructional design, allowing me to create and deliver content that is both grounded in real-world patient care and driven by sound educational principles.
In 2022, I was honored to be named North Carolina Ambulatory Care Pharmacist of the Year, a recognition of my commitment to advancing clinical practice, supporting learners, and improving outcomes across care settings. I’ve developed curricula, led professional training, and written assessments for both emerging health professionals and practicing clinicians, always with a focus on practical, high-impact learning.
I’m also a passionate advocate for underserved populations, working to expand access and equity in healthcare—both locally in Western North Carolina and internationally in Central America. This advocacy informs my work and reinforces my belief that education and clinical excellence must be aligned with compassion and accessibility.
Through Tailored Education Collaborative, I partner with healthcare organizations, academic institutions, and community-based teams to deliver custom, evidence-based education that supports better care, stronger teams, and meaningful impact—wherever it's needed most.
